The American Chemical Society (ACS) Committee on Public Relations and Communications (CPRC) develops and provides resources to catalyze the communication of chemistry to the public by ACS members and communities. Through science communication-related awards, programming, customized PR makeovers, and other activities CPRC strives to:

• Collaborate/partner with ACS local sections, divisions, committees, and other units to increase the effectiveness of their public relations efforts.
• Share and celebrate successful practices in public relations and communications to serve as models and resources.
• Deploy effective resources to empower members to engage the public.

Who We Are

CPRC is an ACS committee with 25 members and associate members from academia, government, and industry, as well as liaisons who are dedicated to facilitating work across ACS units. We share a commitment to promoting and supporting effective science communication and to increasing public appreciation for the life-improving impact of chemistry.
